Meet our grandparents, Marv & Aleta!
An active couple who love to take trips in their RV all across the United States.
In 2010 my wife's grandfather, Marvin, had Urostomy surgery. After the surgery, whenever he tried to travel he encountered a problem with the vehicle seatbelt creating stress on the stoma and Ostomy pouch.
The resulting leaks were embarrassing and inconvenient, as well as a hindrance to the enjoyment of travel and visiting old friends and family that they have become accustomed to over the years.
Grandma Aleta, being the industrious, do-it-yourself, go-getter that she has always been, began searching (and praying) for an answer.
One night, she was awakened in the middle of the night with the exact blueprint of what needed to be done, and she immediately went to work.
Since that first prototype, vehicle traveling has been trouble-free for Grandpa Marvin. Then, after five years of further development, a patent, and three prototypes later, we have today's Ostomy Protector Seatbelt.
The heart behind the further development of the Ostomy Protector Seatbelt was Aleta's desire to simply be a blessing to the quality of life that other Ostomates can experience by using this clever little product. That desire has indeed now blessed Ostomates worldwide. Share the love.
